Il Furibondo String Trio

Liana Mosca, violin
Gianni de Rosa, viola
Marcello Scandelli, cello

The Furibondo String Trio was founded in Milan in 2011 by three musicians inspired by a deep artistic affinity: Liana Mosca, Gianni de Rosa and Marcello Scandelli. With a repertoire spanning three centuries of music and the use of period instruments for the Baroque repertoire, the trio combines expressive energy with stylistic rigour. The name recalls the adjective used by Tartini to describe Geminiani: “furious”, overwhelming and unconventional. Active in major European festivals, the trio has numerous recordings to its credit, which have won awards from the public and critics.
